The CodenameGreen Wall

The CodenameGreen Wall

My goal into this new year will be to expand CodenameGreen into the community and help protect the environment through different projects. As well, when I go through this process I would like to get as many people and Codegreeners involved as possible so I have created this wall known as the “CodenameGreen Wall”. If anyone has any requests, ideas, projects, or questions they can feel free to comment on any of my media sources and it will appear on the wall. The wall is completely made of recycled paper from old projects and will stand as a symbol of change for current and future environmental projects.I have already received some requests and I would love to hear from as many people as possible so let the requests pour in! Remember, no problem is to big or to small for CodenameGreen!

Staying Codegreen With Holiday Wrapping and Bagging

Staying Codegreen With Holiday Wrapping and Bagging

As we are out buying gifts for loved ones this holiday season we need to remember to be as Eco-friendly as possible and live by the standards of “codegreen”. This needs to be done with not only the products we buy but with the wrapping/bags that we use to gift them in. Remember to buy paper based wrappings/bags and to stay away from glossy plastic based materials. There are recycling centers out there that will take glossy wrapping paper, however, this isn’t a standard norm for all recycling centers and we need to think ahead as much as possible to avoid the material all together. Instead of using paper bags or wrapping, wooden baskets that are biodegradable can be used as well and can be reused for other things such as re-gifting or for decoration in the future. Remember, being Eco-friendly can also be cute and you can get as creative as you want with your holiday wrapping and bagging!

My Wish for This Upcoming Year

The truth is that I have many goals and dreams that I’m hoping to unfold this upcoming year. I love the life on this planet and I love getting to help protect this beautiful earth. That is why I will be doing some crazy environmental projects and ideas as I enter into my 24th year. There is no guarantee that these ideas will succeed or if I will be able to get any person to listen to me, but I rather go down clawing and scratching trying to help create change then do nothing at all. So my wish will be to reach as many people as I can and to become more involved in the community in which I live. Change always starts with one person going out and getting their hands dirty doing hard work, and I’m not one to shy away from hard work. I’m honestly more confident and ready as I will ever be to take on any challenge that will come my way during the process of building “CodenameGreen “, and as the famous Leslie Knope fromĀ Parks and Recreation once said, “A lot of girls dream of succeeding, but it’s my destiny”. So to all you Codegreeners out there, I hope you continue to join me on this journey because I have only just begun.
